 The Conference Season
We have been very busy with conferences in recent months. We were appointed to provide tour coach transport for the 57th World Health Organization Regional Conference of 350 delegates held in late 2006 as well as for numerous smaller conferences on behalf of our many corporate clients.

We even managed to hold our own conference. Forty Oceania drivers and support staff gathered for a workshop and dinner in Auckland. It was an opportunity to share our knowledge, hear from some of our customers and to socialize. And on the last day, for the winners of the yacht race on the Waitemata Harbour to secure bragging rights for the next twelve months!
New 49-seat tour coaches
Two brand new luxury 5-star 49 passenger seat Volvo B12 tour coaches have been added to our fleet in 2006. One will be based in Auckland and the other in Christchurch.
They are ideal for large groups wanting to travel in comfort and style. Features include two passenger doors, on-board rest rooms, seat belts on each reclining seat, CD/DVD players with surround sound, fridge for cooled water or medicine, individual air-conditioning controls, fridge for cooled water or medicine, personal or directed reading lights, TV monitors and lockable under floor luggage lockers.
Legendary British rock band 10cc featuring Graham Gouldman toured New Zealand with Oceania in June 2006. We meet them at Dunedin airport for a tour that travelled from one end of New Zealand to the other. We provided separate luxury 29-seat tour coaches in each island with one dropping the group off at the inter-island ferry terminal in Picton and the other picking them up in Wellington.
Lions in New Zealand

The British and Irish Lions Rugby team toured New Zealand during June and July 2005. Oceania Coachlines was appointed by two leading UK based tour operators to provide tour coach transport for Lions supporters. This required up to 20 tour coaches in a variety of locations at the same time, as the Lions supporters toured the country as well as watching rugby matches including those against New Zealand’s national team - the All Blacks. It was a very busy time indeed!
Two more luxury 29-seater coaches built
The introduction of our new MAN 29-seater coaches in March 2004 (see news item below) was greeted with such an overwhelming response that we decided to add two more. This brings to five, the total number of brand new luxury 29-seater coaches added to our fleet in 2004/5.
They have been especially designed to meet the needs of customers in the luxury small group touring market who wish to see and experience New Zealand in more depth whilst travelling in style.
Many of the itineraries we receive from our tour operator clients are extremely innovative and exciting and reflect the fabulous tourism developments occurring throughout New Zealand. A number of them stay in luxury lodges and boutique hotels and have selected Oceania Coachlines to ensure luxury touring standards are maintained in every aspect of their New Zealand tour.

Oceania on front cover of MAN world-wide
brochure.
We were delighted to receive recently the latest copy of the MAN Omnibusse brochure and see one of our new 29-seater tour coaches featured on the front cover of their latest
world-wide brochure.
MAN Omnibusse, based in Germany, are one of the largest chassis manufacturers in the world and the brochure provides details of their various vehicle models for global distribution to tour coach and bus operators.
To be featured in this way to an audience of our peers is quite an accolade for the standard of our tour coaches.
Kiwi and Oceania.
Kiwi Bus Builders of Tauranga in New Zealand who construct of all of Oceania’s new coaches have used many photographs of our luxury Volvo B12 tour coaches in their superb brochure.
The images provide an insight into the highly skilled craftsmanship Involved in constructing a state-of-the-art tour coach. We were particularly taken with the montage of reclining passengers seats/ individual air-conditioning reading controls and the montage of restrooms/interior trim/refrigerators and the fabulous shots of the coach exteriors.
Congratulations Kiwi Bus Builders. The quality of your brochure matches that of your coach building. We are proud to be associated with you.
Oceania Finalist in ITOC
Operator of the Year Award Oceania Coachlines are honoured to be chosen as one of four finalists for the 2004 ITOC
Operator of the Year Award. Due to the specialist nature of the group tour business, such nominations are seldom bestowed on tour coach operators. A nomination by ITOC is extremely prestigious. ITOC comprises New Zealand's leading inbound tour operators - specialists in both individual and group travel who have an intimate knowledge of New Zealand's tourism products.
Brand
New Luxury 29-seat Tour Coaches
Three stunning brand new MAN 29-seater coaches were added to the Oceania fleet in March 2004. They have been especially designed for the luxury small tour group market.
They are the result of much research to identify the right chassis. Oceania required the same comfort and power-to-weight ratio of its larger coaches. The new MAN chassis delivers this. The vehicles were constructed by Kiwi Bus Builders of Tauranga to ensure the high quality external finish and interior fit-out matched the standard of Oceania’s luxury 5-Star 49-seater Volvo B12’s also constructed by Kiwi Bus Builders.
Features include air-suspension, contoured reclining seats all which are fitted with seat belts, UV and heat resistant tinted windows which means no sun glare to spoil the view, CD/DVD players with surround sound, fridge for cooled water or medicine, individual air-conditioning controls and personal reading lights, video monitors, and lockable under floor luggage compartments. There is also a full-size courier seat beside the driver.
The new coaches are available in both the
North and South Islands. More about our
